The School Counseling Program for grades K-5 focuses on the skills that students need to be successful in school and in everyday life.   In conjunction with parents and the teachers, the program is intended to help students understand themselves, understand others, solve problems and resolve conflicts.  This is achieved through direct classroom instruction, individual counseling and small group work.  I am in the process of revising the School Counseling Curriculum for the 2011-2012 school year, because of Hinesburg Community School's move to single grade levels.
